Makinsey's  story...

It was a perfect wedding day and I love to tell people about it.:)

I met my husband in Junior High. We knew each other all through Junior High and High School, but we didn't start dating until the summer of our Senior year, 3 months before he left to serve a mission for the LDS church. We wrote while he was gone for the 2 years and when he got back in August 2012 we decided it was right and got engaged November 10th 2012 and married January 11th 2013. A quick engagement, but perfect and just what we wanted. Since it was a short engagement, I only had 8 weeks to plan for my big day. It was a little overwhelming at times, but I had been working in and doing weddings since I was 12 in my grandma's business, My Event Masters, so I knew a few of the ins and outs.

When my big day came I'd been hoping for snow since the beginning and sure enough we got the first big storm of the year! It was beautiful! I was freezing and so was everyone else standing out there in the snow waiting for us to come out, but the pictures and video turned out amazing! Our photographer, Vellvet Images, and videographer, Robin Saville, were both amazing and couldn't have been better. A perfect choice for us and our day! They captured it so well! It was our perfect storm. :) We couldn't have picked a better day!

Something to remember is there will always be something that will go wrong or not how you planned, such as this storm/blizzard that came on our day, but that doesn't matter because it always somehow turns out better than you even imagined.

Makinsey's suggestions:

First suggestion; go to bridal shows and enter in all the giveaways you can, it's a good way to get free stuff, also it'll be an eye opener for all the things you'll need to do for your day.

Next suggestion; get a planner or notebook that you can take around with you everywhere. I had mine at my desk and when I would think of something I wanted, I'd write it down in my notebook. Also I made tabs in my planner to keep organized and stay on budget. When I'd buy something for my food table, I'd jot it down in my planner under the food/catering tab. When your on a budget and time crunch, it helps to have something to keep you on track and know when your about to go overboard, lets be honest a bride can get a little carried away in the moment and have eyes telling you to buy it and a wallet screaming no!

Romantic Wedding Video

Ahh. I could watch this video over and over. It's so romantic and touching. Pointe Digital- wow what a romantic wedding video!!

Doug from Pointe Digital said this about the wedding:

Cynthia & Blairs Cathedral of the Madeleine Wedding Highlight Film was perfect from the beginning. Right as the bell was rung to start the ceremony, I heard Blair say, "Is this it?" You could hear the excitement and anticipation in his voice and it showed the rest of the day. Wadley Farms was the reception center chosen by the bride. These two families were so much fun to be with all day. As they introduced the bride and groom to start the dinner/reception, Cynthia & Blair did their first dance and it was great. They obviously had practiced and choreographed their dance, much to the delight of their family and friends. When they finished, their family and friends had a flash mob song and dance for them. It was great!! Then Blair sang a very touching rendition of the song "Heaven", for Cynthia while playing the acoustic guitar. Near the end of the dinner, Cynthia's sister played a power point on our large screen projector system that she had put together for Cynthia & Blair. I do not want to know how much time she put into it, it was perfect!! And then the dancing began and it was non stop the rest of the night until they left. As i've seen so many times, the best way to end the night is to leave in one of Something Vintage, Something Blue's cars. Talk about class!! Seeing the smile on their faces as they ran past all of their guests and then got into this classic vintage car was a perfect ending to a perfect day.

To have captured another wedding like this just makes me thankful for the career path I have chosen. To be able to be with people as amazing as Cynthia & Blair on their wedding day and to film it, capture it, and then create an amazing wedding video/film for them to cherish for the rest of their lives.... yea, I love my job.
