Wedding Hairstyle Trends

wedding hair. up do | brideaccess

For any bride, deciding which hairstyle to choose on the big day can be tough. With so many gorgeous looks out there, how does anyone pick just one? Let’s start out by narrowing it down to the best wedding hairstyle trends of 2015. For a fashionable and elegant look, ask your stylist to try out the following five gorgeous hairdos on you. If you love them all, then it might just be time for a coin toss!

The Baby’s Breath Bride

Baby’s Breath is a delicate white flower that blooms in dainty, cloud-like puffs of blossom. Popularly used as a wedding flower in centerpieces, this year Baby’s Breath is trending as a hair accessory. Added as a dainty accent to renaissance-style curls or to accentuate a classic updo, Baby’s Breath will transform your look into one of fairy-like etherealness. If you plan on wearing Baby’s Breath, make sure that you keep it fresh until the last possible moment. Baby’s Breath can be secured to your hairdo by either by bobby pins or plaits. If your stylist hasn’t used Baby’s Breath as an accent before, make sure you give it a trial run before the wedding.

Fairylight Crown

Featured in Reem Acra’s Fall 2015 collection, the Fairylight Crown is in a bold but beautiful addition to any bridal look. Added to a classic updo, the Reem Acra fairylight crown features a floral headband subtly lit by miniature LED lights. Hidden beneath the white blossoms, the crown works to cast a gorgeous candle-like glow upon the bride’s features. To add fairlights to any tiara or floral crown, all you have to do is order battery-operated fairylights on a bendable, wire string. The lights can be wound delicately around any hairpiece, but work best with updos (better for hiding the battery pack).

Elaborate Plaits

Maybe it’s a Katniss Everdeen thing, but elaborate plaits are all the rage this year. A time-enduring look, plaits add a classic elegance to any bridal ensemble. Whether you prefer a simple French braid, or a more complex fishtail or waterfall braided look, you can’t go wrong with plaits. To accentuate your cheekbones, try a plaited updo. For a renaissance-style flowing look, add plaits to loose curls, or create a braided crown above pin-straight locks.

The Jeweled Hair Net

When you hear hair net, you might think line-cooks, but bridal hair nets are a whole different ball game--and they’re getting even more gorgeous by the year. Worn in place of a veil, hair nets can be placed over the body of an updo, or wound delicately around the crown of the head to accentuate the hair. Popular in hair nets this year is a gorgeous jeweled look, incorporating loose hair nets threaded with real gemstones. For a classic, sparkling look, try a swarovski crystal hair net. For a more traditional go-to style, pearls are, as always, the height of elegance. Looking for something a little more unique? Try a garnet or opal hairnet to add a touch of color to your ensemble.

The Boho Look

For a more relaxed look, try the popular Boho style. Boho is big in bridal this year, with hairdos featuring drawn-back locks accented by loose strands of curls. Perfect for outdoor weddings, the Boho look is easy to achieve, and, best of all, it’s comfortable. Set into place with minimal hairspray and relatively few bobby pins, you’ll be able to wear this look in comfort and style all night long.

David Newkirk, This is the Place Park, BrideAccess

Barn Weddings are very popular this year and I am excited to show you the details of this gorgeous wedding.

To start with, Janessa went to The Brides' Shop in search for her dream dress.  Once she slipped into this Allure gown, she knew she had found it. It is a stunning venetian lace slip wedding dress. The talented alterations team designed a custom sleeve for Janessa and tailored the gown to fit her perfectly. This bridal gown matched the wedding theme perfectly.
